Video of Trump Questioned Under Oath Could Be Made Public

Video could soon be made public that shows Donald Trump’s being questioned under oath in a legal case involving his fiery rhetoric on the campaign trail, according to a new court order.

The presidential candidate and New York real estate mogul was ordered to sit for a formal, taped deposition in June after suing two famous chefs and restaurateurs who allegedly backed out of a business venture with two chefs in Washington, D.C.

In the latest development in the case, a D.C. trial court judge denied requests by Trump’s lawyers to keep the footage of his being questioned for the deposition sealed.

The controversy and lawsuit began over a year ago, almost immediately after the launch of the businessman’s presidential campaign. As Trump announced his bid for the White House, he also set off a firestorm by suggesting that illegal immigrants from Mexico were criminals and “rapists.”

Celebrity chefs Jose Andres José Andrés and Geoffrey Zakarian quickly denounced the remarks and publicly announced they were backing out of the planned project with a development group owned by Trump in the nation’s capital.

Since then, the two sides have been in a contentious, behind-the-scenes, back-and-forth dispute. Trump sued the pair over a breach in contract and is seeking damages.
