The FBI has decided to give certain members of Congress interview notes and other materials produced during its investigation of Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server during her tenure as secretary of state, and the handover could happen by the end of today, sources told ABC News.
The move comes after top House Republicans on Capitol Hill called for FBI Director James Comey to release the FBI's investigative file of the matter.
Comey has vowed to be as transparent with and responsive to lawmakers as possible.
The documents that House members will be receiving are deemed classified, so access to them will be tightly controlled.
The State Department had asked the FBI to review the documents before Congress received them.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
