A new pro-Donald Trump superpac, Rebuilding America Now, is out with an attack ad hitting Hillary Clinton that will begin running nationally this week.
The hard hitting ad links Hillary Clinton's private e mail use with the Monica Lewinsky scandal. The ad, titled "Hillary Clinton: More of the Same" intercuts a Hillary Clinton press conference from August 2015 where she discusses her use of a private e mail address and server and Bill Clinton in January 1998 when he responded to allegations that he had sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky.
"We turned over everything," Hillary Clinton says in the ad. "I did not send classified material and I did not receive any material that was marked or designated classified."
Bill Clinton says in the commercial that he "never told anybody to lie," from the famous "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" press conference. That line is not in the ad, but Bill Clinton says, "These allegations are false."
It ends with text reading "same old, same old, same old, same old typical politician."
Ken McKay, the former Trump advisor now with the superpac, tells ABC News their goal is to match the spending of Hillary Clinton's superpac, Priorities USA. (Priorities USA has $136 million reserved.)
The ad is airing nationally beginning this week, but McKay says they are now doing research and the ad will possibly air in states where Priorities USA is on the air including Virginia, Florida, and Ohio, as well as Colorado although it is not airing in the battleground states yet.
McKay is the former campaign manager of Chris Christie's presidential bid. McKay said GOP strategist Alex Castellanos, who has been previously critical of Trump, is also working for the superpac. It is backed by real estate investor and Trump friend Tom Barrack.
