A large group of protesters amassed outside the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, where the New York GOP gala was set to take place, and some even managed to get inside.
The hotel was set to be host to a group of donors and political heavyweights as well as all three of the Republican presidential candidates.
A much smaller group of protesters were seen in the elevator bank with reporters when they started chanting: "We ready, we coming!"
They were escorted out by police.
People were seen being taken away from the protest outside of the hotel, but the NYPD was unable to confirm if there were any arrests.
