Trump Projected to Win South Carolina GOP Primary

ABC News projects that Donald Trump will win the South Carolina Republican primary, based on analysis of the vote.

This is the second state Trump has won in the 2016 presidential election, after sweeping the New Hampshire primary earlier this month.

When the polls closed at 7 p.m., Trump was initially in a tight race with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio.

Trump tweeted earlier that he would be “happy with a one vote victory.”
