Now a senator in his second term, Al Franken is very serious about his job -- some might not even be aware that he was a "Saturday Night Live" star in the '80s.
While it’s rare to see him crack jokes at the U.S. Capitol, Franken showed his funny side in a video for Hillary Clinton's campaign, in which the Minnesota Democrat reads Twitter reactions people have had to his tweets supporting Clinton.
To @rtelmore, who simply wrote “BOOOOOOO!” Franken responds, “well, BOOOO to you too.”
@ByYourLogic tweeted to Franken that “mad tv sucked,” referring to a separate sketch comedy show that Franken was not on.
“I’m going to say that’s a joke. I wasn’t on 'Mad TV', I was a pretty well-known comedian on 'SNL.' Good joke, @ByYourLogic,” Franken says to the camera, giving him a thumbs up.
