Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who was elected to a second term Tuesday, rocketing him to the top of GOP 2016 presidential contenders, declared Hillary Clinton as the biggest loser in this week's election.
'I think in Wisconsin, we're very much like the rest of the American independent voters ... They want leaders who have big, bold ideas and who act on them.'
Declining to commit to serving out the next four years as governor, Walker described Clinton as representing an 'old, tired, top-down approach from Washington.'
'Overall, I think that governors make much better presidents than members of Congress,' he told NBC's 'Meet the Press' host Chuck Todd Sunday morning.
When asked if he would keep a pledge during his first campaign for governor to serve all four years, he demurred.
'Certainly I care deeply about my state and my country ... we'll see what the future holds,' he said.
Walker also stressed that his campaign attracted double-digit support from independent voters and tied his opponent Mary Burke in votes from 18 to 24-year-olds.
