Andrew Madoff, the last surviving son of master scammer Bernard Madoff, has died, CNBC reported Wednesday morning.
Madoff, 48, died of mantle cell lymphoma, the network said.
His lawyer, Martin Flumenbaum, told the network he 'died peacefully' surrounded by family at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
His brother, Mark Madoff, committed suicide in 2010, on the second anniversary of his father's arrest.
While neither brother was charged criminally as a result of their father's multi-billion dollar Ponzi-scheme, both lived a lavish-lifestyle thanks to their father's ill-gotten gains - and both were hounded by legal problems after his arrest.
Andrew Madoff had two children with his wife Deborah. Deborah filed for divorce against her husband on Dec. 11, 2008 - the same date his father was arrested.

Court records show the divorce was discontinued on this past Valentine's Day. It's unclear whether they actually divorced, or if she withdrew the action because he was sick.
In July, the trustee for Madoff's victims filed a $153 million suit against Andrew and Mark's estate, charging they 'knew, saw, and were simply too intelligent to plausibly feign ignorance about the fraud that was occurring.'
The brothers brought an end to their father's scheme after turning him into the authorities.
Madoff, 76, is serving a 150 year sentence for securities fraud.
