A woman, a 17-year-old disabled girl and a dog were found dead this evening at a Waukegan home after police got a call from a man who stated he was going to kill his family and himself, police said.
About 6:15 p.m., Waukegan police got a 911 call from a man who said he was going to kill his family and himself on the 4100 block of Continental Drive. When police arrived on the scene they found a suicide note on the front steps of the residence, said Waukegan Police Cmdr. Joe Florip.
Police entered the residence and took a male into custody who appeared to have suffered self-inflicted wounds, said Florip.
He was placed into custody and taken to a local hospital where he remains under police guard.
Police then searched the house and found a 50-year-old woman, a disabled teen girl and a dog, all deceased, said Florip.
As of 10:22 p.m., the deaths were under investigation and police would not say how the victims died.
