An off-duty Los Angeles police officer was killed after a cement truck overturned on a steep Beverly Hills road Friday afternoon, crushing a pickup truck.

The unnamed officer who died is the fourth LAPD cop killed in a traffic wreck in just two months. Friday's crash around 2 p.m. happened along the same stretch of Loma Vista Drive where another cop was hit and killed by an out-of-control dump truck on March 7.

The street is also where a different cement truck overturned on May 2, injuring the driver and smashing into parked cars.

Friday's crash left cement pouring down the road, and little left of the pickup truck.

'The pickup truck was a mess,' neighbor Ingrid Bisu told KNBC-TV of the crash, which she thought was an earthquake. 'It was crushed.'

It's the latest incident in what has been a tragic year on city roads for the LAPD. Officer Nicholas Lee was killed in the March 7 crash with the dump truck. An allegedly cocaine-fueled driver hit and killed motorcycle cop Chris Cortijo in April.

And early Saturday morning, Officer Roberto Sanchez, 32, was also killed after a driver intentionally plowed his car into the officer's cruiser to stop him from chasing the man's friend.
