COLORADO - Friends and neighbors are remembering a mother of 3, shot to death in her Denver, Colorado home.
Police say Richard Kirk told officers he killed his wife Kristine - while she was on the phone with 911.
Now police are investigating whether marijuana editable may have played a part.
Denver police say Kristine called 911 Monday night. Law enforcement sources say she told the dispatcher her husband Richard Kirk may have eaten marijuana edibles. That he was hallucinating and scaring their three young children.
Sonny Jackson of the Denver Police Department, said, 'I can't get necessarily into specifics about that, but we are looking at a marijuana aspect of this investigation to see if it did play a role in this particular crime.'
Richard Kirk was arrested in the past for DUI. But a police say that it did not appear officers had ever been called to the home before.
Forty seven year-old Richard Kirk is being held for investigation of first-degree murder.
