A vehicle slammed into a daycare center in Winter Park, Fla. on Wednesday, injuring at least 12, authorities said.
Although Florida Highway Patrol initially said that one person had been killed, they later revised it to say there were no deaths.
Fire Rescue spokesman John Mulhall said there were at least 12 injured at the Goldenrod Road KinderCare, 10 miles northeast of Orlando. The highway patrol reported some of the victims, including 11 children and one adult, were in 'very, very serious' condition.
Local television showed multiple people, including children, being carried out on stretchers.
Small children and infants in cribs were evacuated outside on the playground, the Associated Press reported.
A spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff's Office said that the vehicle that crashed into the center was struck by another driver who left the scene, MyFoxOrlando.com reported. Police are searching for the second vehicle.
