MULBERRY, Fla - A private plane crash landed in Mulberry, Florida Saturday afternoon and got tangled with a parachutist.


At around 11 a.m. Shannon Trembley of Mulberry was doing touch and goes.


A touch and go is when a pilot lands on the runway and immediately begins a new takeoff.

During Trembley's third pass, the passenger-side wing of his plane became tangled in the strings of a parachutist.


The parachutist, John Frost of Gainesville, was flung to the ground and the plane nosed dived.


Frost was treated and released from the hospital.


Trembley is listed in stable condition.


Neither received serious injuries.


The NTSB and FAA responded to the scene and are investigating the incident.
